Questions of Faith By: Peter Guirguis
|

When something doesn’t go your way, do you ever get upset to the point where
you question your faith? Do you wonder why bad things happen to good people?
You are not alone; it can be a rough time in your life when nothing seems to be
going right and you can’t help but feel depressed. Questioning your faith is not
something to be worried about, however. This is one way to develop a stronger
and more complete faith. The important thing is to find the answers you seek
and not leave the questions unanswered. A good place to go to find answers, of
course, is the Bible.
These days you can find just about anything on the Internet, and Bible help is
no exception. Websites such as BibleGateway.com and BibleSearch.com make
searching for keywords and passages a breeze, even in different versions of
the Bible. For example, searching “faith” in the New King James Version
instantly brings up 379 verses in the order they appear in the Bible. If you
want a more personal touch, schedule a time to sit and discuss your thoughts
with a priest or bishop. Chances are good they have heard your questions before
and can help you with them.
What you will probably come to realize is that, while things may not be going
your way, they are indeed happening the way they should. It is hard for us to
see beyond the present, but God has a plan for each of us. All things are
possible through Him, but we must keep our faith and believe that something
better is in store for us.
